South Korean actors Lee Jun Hyuk and Lee Jun Young recently experienced a funny moment when attending the 2025 Blue Dragon Series Awards. Both were present as nominees for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
The hilarious incident began when presenters Jun Hyun Moo and Girls' Generation's Yoon A announced the winners of the Popularity Award category. The winners were Park Bo Gum, Hyeri, Lee Jun Hyuk, and IU. When Lee Jun Hyuk's name was announced, the actor was in the camera's spotlight but wasn't seen standing up to walk onto the stage.
Then, several actors beside him, including Seo Hyun Jin, told him to stand. Lee Jun Hyuk then stood up and began walking to the stage, side by side with IU. Jun Hyuk looked confused and stepped back as actor Lee Jun Young also stood up and walked to the stage to receive his trophy.
When he found out that the real winner's name was Lee Jun Hyuk, Jun Young immediately came down from the stage and handed over the trophy he was holding. The moment created laughter from the guests, including the presenters, but many regretted Jun Hyun Moo reading the nominations with clear articulation, which created a misunderstanding.
After the event, Lee Jun Young posted a message on his Instagram Story apologizing to Lee Jun Hyuk for taking his trophy. "I made the mistake of not hearing the announcement clearly. Once again, I apologize to Lee Jun Hyuk and his fans. Congratulations on the award!" wrote Lee Jun Young.
Lee Jun Hyuk also wrote a message on his Instagram Story that he was taking the incident in stride. "Thanks to Junyoung, it was fun. Don't worry too much. I made the same mistake at the AAA (Asia Artist Awards). I think this is a sign. Let's eat together," Lee Jun Hyuk wrote.
