A new romantic comedy film resulting from a collaboration between South Korea and Vietnam has recently confirmed its release date. The film is titled 'Love Barista', starring South Korean actor Lee Kwang Soo and Vietnamese actress Hoà ng Hà .
Actor Lee Kwang Soo plays the character Kang Joon Woo, an Asian star stranded in Vietnam without a manager, a passport, or even a penny. Kang Joon Woo's arrival in Vietnam was initially part of a simple commercial shoot.
But an unexpected incident leaves the character trapped alone in Vietnam with nothing. In the midst of his struggle to survive, he meets Thao (played by actress Hoà ng Hà ) who is an aspiring barista.
From this meeting, the two characters begin an unexpected love story.The film Love Barista combines elements of comedy, romance, and a touch of survival drama in a foreign land.
The film is directed by Kim Sung Hoon, who is known for his works such as Confidential Assignment and Rampant. Love Barista will be shown in cinemas in Vietnam on October 3, 2025 and is scheduled for release in South Korea in the second half of 2025.
