NCT's Johnny Shows Off His Basketball Skills on SBS's "Passionate Basketball Team"

NCT's Johnny, was recently officially confirmed to join the SBS variety show "Passionate Basketball Team," as reported by SpoTVnews on Tuesday night (August 26, 2025). Johnny Suh, whose full name is Johnny, will play a key role under the guidance of Seo Jang Hoon, a former professional basketball player. 

This program, which combines entertainment with sports, is a basketball match that showcases the basketball skills  of famous celebrities, including Johnny Suh, bringing excitement to fans from all over the world. 

The event, which will be held at the MOA (Mall of Asia) Arena, Manila, Philippines, is a national-scale global project where Seo Jang Hoon (known as a South Korean basketball legend ) forms a basketball team consisting of celebrities to compete in an international friendly match against a Philippine celebrity basketball team. 

This SBS variety show is expected to bring laughter and touching challenges to the audience. As a member of NCT with a height of 185 cm, Johnny Suh is known to be good at various sports, including basketball and volleyball since his school days. 

Not only that, the man born on February 9, 1995 is also known to have an impressive physique and stamina thanks to consistent training, so it is estimated that Johnny will be the team's mainstay thanks to his extraordinary athletic abilities. 

This has been recognized by various sports entertainment programs such as " ISAC "  (Idol Star Athletic Championship) and "All Together Cha Cha Cha". For additional information, the "Passionate Basketball Team" will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila. 

This stadium is known as the largest indoor stadium in Asia, making it one of the Philippines' most prestigious stadiums. Johnny and the members of NCT 127 are known to have held a concert at this stadium in 2022 as part of their world tour , "Neo City: The Link." 

Johnny's return to the stadium, this time as a basketball player, is expected to raise fans' expectations, eager to see his transformation from K-pop idol to professional basketball player.  SBS's "Passionate Basketball Team" is currently filming.
