Unpleasant news has come from HYUNJAE, a member of South Korean boy group THE BOYZ, reportedly injured his ankle while performing live content on Thursday July 31, 2025.
THE BOYZ's agency, ONE HUNDRED, confirmed that Hyunjae had been rushed to the hospital for an examination, and the results showed a partial tear in his ankle ligament.
According to the agency's official statement, on the doctor's advice, Hyunjae will still appear on the KBS2 'Music Bank' stage scheduled for August 1, 2025. However, to maintain his condition, he will perform sitting on a chair during the performance.
"We apologize to the fans who have been looking forward to THE BOYZ's first comeback performance," ONE HUNDRED wrote in an official statement.
The agency emphasized that Hyunjae's health and recovery are its top priority. "We will continue to monitor the artist's health and adjust his future schedule to ensure Hyunjae recovers as quickly as possible," the statement continued.
THE BOYZ recently released their 10th mini-album, 'a;effect', and are currently busy with comeback promotions. The group is also scheduled to hold a concert at the KSPO Dome from August 8th to 10th of 2025 as part of their world tour.
