Park Ji Hoon is in the spotlight again thanks to the film The King's Warden ! Directed by Jang Hang Jun, the film was a huge box office success, reaching 6 million viewers. Telling the story of King Danjong in exile who ends up dying tragically, The King's Warden demands Park Ji Hoon to appear as miserable as possible.

To achieve this, the actor who plays King Danjong had to go on an extreme diet. The Wanna One member revealed during an appearance on You Quiz On the Block that he ate only one apple a day for two months for the film, as reported by Chosun Biz on Thursday (February 26, 2026).

As a result, Park Ji Hoon lost 15 kilograms. With his new physique, he was said to have successfully portrayed King Danjong in exile. The film adaptation of The King's Warden is set in 1457 and follows the story of a village leader named Eum Heung Do (Yoo Hai Jin), who voluntarily turns his village into a place of exile.

He then forms an unexpected relationship with Danjong (Park Ji Hoon), who is exiled there.
