South Korean actor Ahn Hyo Seop is back in the spotlight after reportedly being in talks to star in the latest drama about an international cooking competition entitled 'The Final Table' (literal title).
According to a SPOTV News report on Wednesday September 3, 2025, Ahn Hyo Seop received an offer to play the main role in this project. Responding to the news, his agency said, "It's true, the project is one of the offers that Ahn Hyo Seop is considering ."
The drama will highlight the journey of talented Korean chefs from all over the world who gather to compete in The Table: K-Chef 2026. This competition is described as full of pressure and fierce competition for the title of best Korean chef.
Ahn Hyo Seop was reportedly offered the role of Kang Han, a mysterious chef known as Chris K. This character left Korea while still in elementary school and has spent the last 25 years living abroad. His mysterious life and background are the main draw of this character.
In addition to the offer on The Final Table, Ahn Hyo Seop is currently in the process of filming the latest SBS drama entitled Sold Out Again Today (working title). Previously, he successfully proved his acting skills through popular dramas such as Dr. Romantic 2 and A Time Called You.
If they do join, the drama The Final Table is believed to present an exciting combination of culinary competition, survival drama, and a personal story full of mystery that promises a different viewing experience for K-Drama lovers.
