Korean drama 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' officially ended on September 28, 2025, with a remarkable success. The final episode of the Korean drama, starring Girls' Generation's Yoona and Lee Chae Min, recorded a national rating of 17.1 percent according to Nielsen Korea—its highest figure since its premiere.

Not only that, its ratings even reached a peak of 19.4 percent, placing Bon Appetit, Your Majesty at the 12th highest-rated cable drama in South Korean history. In the greater Seoul metropolitan area, its final episode also reached 20 percent, making it the number-one program on all TV channels on the same day.

The success of this fantasy-romance drama isn't just about ratings. For five consecutive weeks, Bon Appetit, Your Majesty was named the most buzzworthy drama, beating out a number of other popular titles. In fact, its leads, Yoona and Lee Chae Min, topped the list of most-talked-about actors, ranking first and second, respectively.

Meanwhile, SBS drama Queen Mantis remained in second place for the most buzzworthy dramas, followed by A Hundred Memories in third place, and tvN's new drama Shin's Project which debuted straight away in fourth place. Towards the final episode, the cast of Bon Appetit, Your Majesty expressed their gratitude to the audience.

Yoona, who plays chef Yeon Ji-young, admitted that she was sad that the Korean drama she starred in was ending. "Just like Yeon Ji-young, who always cooks with sincerity and care, I also poured my heart into every scene. It's truly sad that this drama has to end.

I will never forget the eight months I spent with director Jang Tae-yoo, the staff, and all my colleagues. Most importantly, I gained strength from the audience's incredible love and support. My sincere thanks to everyone who has supported 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' and Yeon Ji-young," said the Girls' Generation member.

Lee Chae-min, whose performance as King Yi Heon received widespread acclaim, expressed his happiness that Bon Appetit, Your Majesty was well-received by audiences. He admitted to learning many lessons from his latest Korean drama. "I'm so happy and grateful that this drama ended with so much love and support.

It was a precious time that gave me a lot of learning, growth, and happiness, even though there were still many shortcomings. These memories will continue to be my strength going forward. I will continue to strive to be an actor who can repay your love through better projects and acting," said Chae-min.

Bon Appetit, Your Majesty premiered on August 23, 2025. Lee Chae-min was not originally cast as the lead role of King Yi Heon. He eventually landed the role to replace Park Sung-hoon, who dropped out due to an 18+ Squid Game parody upload.
