The Korean drama Confidence Queen has aired several episodes since September 6, 2025. Unfortunately, the early episodes of this drama starring Park Min Young have been struggling in the audience ratings. TV Chosun immediately shifted its strategy by moving Confidence Queen's broadcast time.
After the shift, Nielsen Korea recorded a slight increase in viewership ratings. The first four episodes of Confidence Queen achieved ratings between 1% and 1.5%. Episode 4, the worst, dropped to 0.9%. Episode 5, which aired in a new time slot, saw its ratings rise again.
According to Nielsen Korea, the ratings for the episode airing on Saturday (September 20th) improved to 1.3%, marking the highest Saturday rating since its premiere. Episode 6, which aired on Sunday (September 21st), saw its ratings rise again to 1.6%.
Among the Korean dramas airing over the weekend, Confidence Queen didn't quite compete with the others. This was due to its very low ratings. Of all the Saturday-Sunday Korean dramas, Confidence Queen received the lowest viewership ratings.
JTBC's A Hundred Memories still had a lead with 4.9 percent. Ratings for cable TV channels tend to be lower than those for public broadcasters like KBS, SBS, and MBC. This is because viewers must subscribe to watch their dramas. But there's a limit to success for Korean drama ratings on cable channels.
Typically, a drama that doesn't reach 3% ratings by its final episode is often considered a flop. Can Confidence Queen reach this threshold? Confidence Queen tells the story of a master con artist named Yun Yi Rang, played by Park Min Young.
The drama offers a series of complex, unpredictable plots from the main characters, combining intrigue, humor, and dramatic schemes to expose greed and protect victims of manipulation. Park Min Young stars alongside Park Hee Soon and Joo Jong Hyuk in this drama. You can watch Confidence Queen on Prime Video.
