BTS's JungKook has once again made K-pop history with the incredible achievement of his solo album. Label Big Hit Music on Friday October 10, 2025, announced that Jung Kook's solo album, "GOLDEN", ​​has sold 3 million copies, citing local tallies.

This achievement makes "GOLDEN" the first album by a Korean solo artist to reach 3 million copies sold, a new milestone in the Korean music industry. The album was released in November 2023 and immediately proved dominant from its launch.

“GOLDEN” sold over 2.4 million copies in just its first week and recorded a fantastic sales of 1 million copies in the first three hours, breaking the previous record of a K-pop solo artist. The album's success also reached global markets. 

"GOLDEN" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and remained on the main album chart for a total of 25 weeks, making it the longest such run for an Asian solo artist. Meanwhile, his bandmate, Jimin, is also showcasing his solo prowess on streaming platforms. 

The B-side track from his second solo album, "Muse," titled "Be Mine," has reached 300 million streams on Spotify. This is the seventh time Jimin has reached the 300 million stream milestone with a solo release, proving his continued global influence.
