BTS's RM stole the spotlight as the only figure from the arts and entertainment world to be included in the inaugural Korea Art Market Power 20 list by the Paradise Cultural Foundation and Seoul National University Business School.

In the list of 20 influential figures in the Korean art market, RM is side by side with big names such as Honorary Director of Leeum Museum of Art, Hong Ra Hee, and renowned artist Suh Do Ho. The Power 20 list is compiled based on a survey of leading galleries in Korea and consultation with art market experts.

While not ranked, the list highlights individuals who have made a positive and significant impact on the Korean art ecosystem, from artists and collectors to museum directors and gallery managers. RM, known as the leader of BTS, is recognized as an avid art collector and an influential figure in the cultural world.

The report noted that RM frequently visits museums, even during his time in the military. His dedication to art did not stop at his personal collection, but also in promoting art through his influence as a public figure.

Another exciting news is that RM is preparing a solo exhibition of his personal collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, scheduled for October 2026. This move confirms his position as one of the figures who not only contributes to music, but also in enriching the global arts landscape.

In addition to RM, the list also features Hong Ra Hee, a prominent collector from the Samsung family and founder of the Leeum Museum of Art. Hong returned as the museum's honorary director in 2025 after an eight-year absence, and is known for her impressive collection of Korean and international art.

Another name that has attracted attention is Suh Do Ho, an artist known for his fabric installations exploring themes of memory, home, and migration. In May 2025, Suh launched the exhibition "Walk the House" at Tate Modern, London, as part of the Genesis Exhibition series.

The list also includes business figures such as Suh Kyung Bae, chairman of Amorepacific Group, who founded the Amorepacific Museum of Art, as well as artist Lee Bae, dubbed the “second Lee Ufan” for his works that combine minimalist aesthetics with East Asian philosophy.
