Actor Yeo Jin Goo announced his military enlistment plans this year. At his latest fan meeting titled " Blank Space," the actor distributed handwritten letters to fans. "As I write this letter, my heart is filled with gratitude, excitement, and sadness.
Now it's time for me to step back from your side for a while and experience something new," Yeo Jin Goo wrote. This letter was shared with fans at his latest fan meeting to celebrate his 20th acting debut.
"Even though we'll be apart for a while, I promise to return as a stronger and more mature person! I'll take care of myself physically and mentally and return with stronger and more profound acting," he continued, urging fans to do the same.
“Oh, and don’t be too sad!! You still have 30 dramas, television shows, and 20 movies to remember Yeo Jin Goo by!!! Whenever you miss me, please watch it again while waiting for me (you will wait, right?) I’ll be so grateful,” he said.
Yeo Jin Goo has not announced when he will enlist in the military or what position he is applying for. He also revealed his plans to enlist in the military at various fan meetings, including while in Indonesia.
The actor will conclude his tour in South Korea on November 1, 2025. Yeo Jin Goo last acted in the 1971 film Hijack, which marked his first antagonist role since his debut 19 years ago.
