TXT's Huening Kai was caught on camera with a woman, and the video has gone viral on social media. The video shows Huening Kai helping a woman who appears to be drunk. The video shows the two leaving a bar together and getting into a car.
Questions about Huening Kai's relationship with the woman in the video then arose. The BIGHIT MUSIC artist spoke out on the Weverse platform, confirming that the woman he was filmed with was just a friend.
"I felt bad for MOA because I kept quiet and there was no reason not to talk about it. I was with my friend and couldn't just leave her there, so I took her home (to her house) and I went back to the dorm (TXT)," Huening Kai wrote, as reported by Hankook Ilbo via The Korea Times on Friday October 10, 2025.
He then provided context for their visit to the bar. He said it was the Chuseok holiday, and many places were closed. He and his girlfriend were the only ones able to find a place to hang out. Huening Kai also continued, explaining that he's not really the outgoing type.
He's afraid that things like this could happen and cause misunderstandings, which would also affect the TXT members. "But I decided to meet her. Still, I thought about what to do, I couldn't leave her there, so I took her home as soon as possible and went straight back to the dorm," he continued, unable to leave his drunk female friend.
The 23-year-old man then apologized and explained why he was only speaking out now, even though the video had circulated two days earlier. He emphasized that he wanted to be honest with his fans and avoid any misunderstandings. He now promises to focus solely on his career as a musician and on giving his best to his fans.
"I feel really bad because I might have hurt MOA, the members, and the staff. I once said that I wanted to be someone who could be trusted, but I seem to have failed this time. I'm sorry. If there's anything I can improve on, please let me know. I don't want MOA to get hurt because of me," he concluded.
