South Korean actor Kim Jung Hoon is returning to acting in his latest Korean drama after six years. He has been confirmed to star in Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret.
Kim Jung Hoon's representative confirmed that the actor will be returning to Korean dramas as his comeback in acting. “Kim Jung Hoon will appear in Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret,” Management Yul said on Friday, October 10, 2025.
Marital Scandal is a drama set in the elite lifestyle involving secrets, conflicts, affairs, and revenge between high-ranking families. Kim Jung Hoon will play Woo Jin, a psychologist who has just moved into an upscale housing complex.
Woo Jin appears friendly on the outside, but he harbors secrets and desires for his neighbors. Kim Jung Hoon temporarily stopped acting in 2019 after becoming involved with his ex-girlfriend.
He reportedly asked her to have an abortion and also faced financial disputes. In 2023, he also became the subject of controversy after being involved in a car accident that damaged another car and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
He was fined 10 million won for the incident. Since the incident, Kim Jung Hoon has been more active in his career and acting in Japan. As a result, Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret marks his return to Korean dramas.
