Lim Ji Yeon opened up about her health and mindset during filming, revealing she was down to just over 40 kilograms while working on Netflix’s smash hit The Glory. The actress appeared on the YouTube show “Naraesik” hosted by Park Na Rae on October 15, 2025.

Park welcomed her warmly, saying, “I’ve heard so much about you from Yoon Kyun Sang and Cha Joo Young—and even Se Chan knows you! I’ve been wanting to meet you as a friends’ friend.” As the conversation turned to health, Lim admitted, “I’ve become really focused on my health these days.

I was physically exhausted, so I started paying more attention.” Park empathized, replying, “I’m sure you have to, with how busy you are.” She also revealed she struggles with insomnia, saying, “The more tired I am, the harder it is for me to fall asleep.

Even when I finally get time to rest, if I can’t sleep, it feels so hopeless.” When Park asked about her eating habits during filming, Lim shared, “I eat during lunch and dinner breaks now, but back then I often skipped meals while shooting. But now, I just can’t handle that anymore.”

Curious, Park asked which role had left her thinner—her infamous turn as Yeon Jin in The Glory or her character in The Tale of Lady Ok. Lim replied, “Definitely when I played Yeon Jin. I never thought, ‘I have to lose weight.’ I was just so sensitive at the time. My weight was in the early 40s (kg).”
