South Korean actor Rowoon is ready to expand his reach into the Japanese film industry. He has been confirmed to star in the upcoming film "The Last Man: First Love," a cinematic adaptation of the popular 2023 Japanese drama "The Last Man: The Blind Profiler."
The film follows the collaboration between Hiromi Minami (played by Masaharu Fukuyama), a blind FBI investigator, and Shintaro Godo (Yo Oizumi), a proud detective, as they work together on a series of complex and high-stakes cases.
In his big screen debut in Japan, Rowoon will play the character of Clyde Yoon, an FBI investigator. Producer Higashinaka revealed the main reason for Rowoon's selection, stating, "Yoon is a strong-willed character who can compete closely with Minami.
Rowoon is an actor who captivates people not only with his acting skills, but also with his incredible charm and charisma. I believe he is the only one capable of bringing this character to life." Rowoon himself welcomed the challenge with enthusiasm.
He shared, "Participating in a Japanese production is a new challenge for me, but I've always wanted to act in another language and culture, so I'm really excited. My character, Yoon, is full of confidence and ambition to succeed.
I hope viewers will notice how he changes throughout the story." “The Last Man: First Love” will mark Rowoon’s entry into the Japanese film industry, expanding his international portfolio after his success in Korean dramas.
