INFINITE's Nam Woo Hyun will star in an upcoming crime action film. Nam Woo Hyun's agency announced that he will play the lead character Park Do Joon in a new film titled The Guardian. 

The Guardian film tells the story of Do Joon, a young man who once dreamed of becoming a national taekwondo athlete, as he races against time to save his mother, Mi Jin, after being kidnapped by the largest criminal organization in the Philippines.

Filmed entirely on location in Manila, the film will feature exotic landscapes alongside thrilling action scenes. Nam Woo Hyun plays Park Do Joon, whose dream is to join the national taekwondo team and settles in the Philippines for his mother.

Although he still regrets abandoning his dream, Do Joon remains a man driven by loyalty and justice. In a desperate attempt to save his mother, he transforms into a brave fighter willing to risk his life. 

Actress Park Eun Hye will play his mother, Kim Mi Jin, while Han Jae Suk will play the ruthless crime boss, Cha Dong Chul. The Guardian is scheduled to hit theaters this June 2026.Before his debut, Woohyun was known for his tenacity in pursuing his dream of becoming a singer. 

He appeared in various auditions and actively uploaded singing videos. When he joined Woollim Entertainment, his trainee period was shorter than many other idols, as his vocal abilities were already outstanding from the start.

Nam Woo-hyun , better known as Woohyun, is a South Korean singer and actor. He was born on February 8, 1991, and debuted as a member of the boy group INFINITE in 2010 under Woollim Entertainment. 

As a member of INFINITE, Woohyun became popular through hit songs such as Be Mine , The Chaser , and Man in Love. Woohyun enlisted in the military in 2019 and was discharged in 2021. After that, he returned to active music and group activities. 

In 2023, INFINITE members reunited for a comeback and celebrated the group's anniversary, something that long-time second-generation K-pop fans have been eagerly anticipating. Until now, he is still one of the second-generation K-pop idols who has a large and loyal fan base.
