The 2026 American Music Awards (AMAs) appear to be a major milestone in KATSEYE's career following their Coachella debut. The HYBE and Geffen Records group won big at this year's AMAs! KATSEYE was nominated in three different categories at the 2026 AMAs.
The good news is, they swept all the trophies: New Artist of the Year, Best Music Video, and Breakthrough Pop Artist. In the newcomer category, KATSEYE outperformed artists who went viral on social media throughout 2025, including Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and Sombr.
Gnarly's video emerged victorious, defeating Sabrina Carpenter's Manchild. KATSEYE also defeated Taylor Swift's The Fate of Ophelia to win Gnarly. In the Breakthrough Pop Artist category, only three artists were nominated.
Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, Yoonchae Jeung, and Manon Bannerman, who is currently on hiatus, beat out SIENNA SPIRO and Zara Larsson. What's even more special is that KATSEYE not only took home the trophy at the 2026 AMAs but also performed on the main stage.
A special treat for EYEKONICs, who were recently thrilled by their idols' Coachella performance. KATSEYE made their Coachella debut on Friday, April 10, 2026. They performed as a five-piece without Manon at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. KATSEYE performed on the Sahara Stage.
They performed their best songs, often going viral. This included their latest single, "Pinky Up," which featured a different vibe. In one of their performances they invited HUNTR/X from K-Pop Demon Hunters to come on stage. The Sahara Stage also marked HUNTR/X's debut stage at Coachella.
Golden's popularity has grown after winning numerous major US awards, including the Golden Globes, Grammys, and Oscars. KATSEYE appeared in their signature bold and colorful outfits, showcasing a slightly seductive side, in keeping with the group's concept. This contrasted with HUNTR/X, who appeared in all-black attire.
