Heeseung, a former member of ENHYPEN who is now known by his stage name EVAN, has just announced the name of his new fandom, 'EVER'. This announcement coincided with EVAN's move into a solo career after leaving ENHYPEN due to differences in musical direction.

However, the announcement has sparked negative reactions from some fans. In his statement, EVAN explained that the name 'EVER' combines 'EV' from his stage name and 'ER' from the word 'forevER', which symbolizes the bond between him and his fans that he hopes will not fade over time.

This statement was conveyed via his personal Instagram account and wrote, "Ever forever, I love you". While the intentions behind the name seem sincere, many ENHYPEN fans disagreed. Criticism was swift, with many linking the fandom name's message of permanence to Heeseung's departure from ENHYPEN.

One fan stated, "This is so sad. He's already shown through group activities that nothing lasts forever, so saying it after his solo debut feels very contradictory." Some fans found the irony of the statement hard to ignore.

They recalled specific moments, including Heeseung's statement to fans before his departure, that they believed demonstrated the meaninglessness of the word "forever." "It's so ironic to say 'we'll be together forever' when you're the one who left first," wrote one fan.

Another fan added, “Even on his birthday, he said ‘forever leader,’ but then left less than 30 days later. How can someone talk about ‘forever’ so easily?” This response reflects the dissatisfaction some fans feel with Heeseung's sincerity.

Another fan even stated, "He's been lying since day one, who would believe his words?" Whether this criticism is fair or not, the fact is that this new fandom name has actually brought back talk of Heeseung's departure from ENHYPEN, which may not be the fresh start EVAN was hoping for.
