You have to say goodbye to the couple who has accompanied your Fridays and Saturdays for the past few months. Kang Dan Sim and Cha Se Gye from the Korean drama My Royal Nemesis have said goodbye to the SBS television screen.

The final episode of My Royal Nemesis aired on Saturday night (June 20, 2026). South Koreans were glued to their TVs to find out how this time-slip Korean drama would end.

Nielsen Korea recorded a rating increase for last Saturday's episode of My Royal Nemesis. The finale of the drama, starring Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun, earned an 11.8% rating.

The finale of My Royal Nemesis was the highest-rated episode of the season. It even outperformed all Korean dramas airing on Saturday nights, across all terrestrial cable and free-to-air channels.

My Royal Nemesis's audience demographic is between 20 and 49 years old. In this age range, the average total viewership rating reached 4.5%. My Royal Nemesis is also airing on Netflix.

Here's a synopsis of the drama, directed by Han Tae Seop: In the Joseon era, there lived a woman named Kang Dan Sim. She was known as a seductress, labeled the most heinous villain in history.

Kang Dan Sim was ultimately sentenced to death by poisoning. But that didn't actually kill him. His soul actually traveled to 2026 and entered the body of a modern-day woman named Shin Seo Ri.

Shin Seo Ri works in the South Korean entertainment industry as an actress. But she's not yet a household name. Being possessed by the soul of a Joseon-era villain changes Seo Ri's life forever. At the same time, there's a conglomerate named Cha Se Kye.

He's known for being arrogant and rude. For some reason, Cha Se Kye has to face Shin Seo Ri, who's dressed as a shaman and claims to be possessed by a spirit from the Joseon era.
