The BLACKPINK members may be busy with their own projects. But their previous work hasn't stopped achieving success. The latest is the music video for the song "DDU-DU DDU-DU," which has gone viral on YouTube. The music video, released on June 15, 2018, has now surpassed 2.4 billion views.
As of Saturday (July 25, 2026) afternoon Western Indonesian Time, the video, uploaded to BLACKPINK's YouTube channel, had amassed a total of 2,400,052,765 views. BLACKPINK has become the first K-Pop group to reach this number of views on YouTube for a music video.
It's also the second K-Pop music video, after "Gangnam Style," to reach the billion-view milestone on Google's video platform. Recently, former YG Entertainment artist Psy also broke a YouTube record with "Gangnam Style." As of July 17, 2026, "Gangnam Style" reached 6 billion views.
It took BLACKPINK 8 years, 1 month, and 9 days to reach 2.4 billion views on YouTube. An incredible achievement that once again proves Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé are one of the most phenomenal K-Pop groups of their generation.
BLACKPINK last released their album Deadline and completed their world tour of the same name. Currently, each member is returning to focus on their solo careers with different projects.
Jennie recently released her single "Less than a Lover," which debuted on the Melon Top 100 chart shortly after its release. The music video also garnered attention due to the male model who appears alongside Jennie.
Lisa, on the other hand, is preparing for the premiere of her documentary, "Always Lalisa," which will be screened at this year's 51st Toronto International Film Festival. "Always Lalisa," directed by Sue Kim, is a documentary produced by Sony Music Vision and follows Lisa's solo career over the past few years.
