Sad news has come from the world of K-Pop fans. A popular Japanese ENHYPEN fan reportedly died after taking his own life during a live broadcast on TikTok early Wednesday (August 5, 2026).
According to Yonhap News, police received a report at around 5:33 a.m. local time after a friend of the victim contacted authorities and said the victim had attempted suicide during a live broadcast. The incident occurred at the victim's officetel in Hangangno-dong, Yongsan, Seoul.
The TikTok livestream reportedly captured the tragic incident before it ended. During the broadcast, numerous viewers also tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms, urging police to intervene immediately.
The victim, a Japanese fan, is known to have lived in Yongsan District, Seoul. He had over 80,000 followers on TikTok. One of his most-watched videos featured ENHYPEN member Ni-Ki, with over 1.5 million views.
