Ratings for the Latest 2 Episodes of 'Four Hands, Two Sonatas' Are High as They Approach the End

The Korean drama "Four Hands, Two Sonatas" has entered its final weeks of airing. The two latest episodes, which aired last weekend from September 26-27, 2026, remain at the top of the ongoing K-dramas list.

Episode 9 of the drama, starring Song Kang, broke the Saturday night viewership record for its entire season. According to Nielsen Korea, "Four Hands, Two Sonatas" achieved a rating of 7.2%. For comparison, the previous week's Saturday night rating was 6.8%. 

This figure was also their highest ever for the Saturday night slot, which is typically lower than Sunday night broadcasts. For episode 10 on Sunday night, director Park Hyun Suk's drama managed to maintain the same rating at 7.2%.

 The rating dropped 0.7% from last week due to viewers' diversion to the Asian Games broadcast. SBS and MBC, two free-to-air terrestrial TV stations in South Korea, have no Korean dramas on this weekend. 

Meanwhile, KBS2 has decided not to air the latest episodes of two of its dramas, Love on the Menu and A Love Other Than Yours, due to the Asian Games. There are two episodes left before Four Hands, Two Sonatas ends. 

The drama's popularity in its home country remains strong, and Indonesian viewers are still eager to follow it on-going. Early last week, the series, which also stars Lee Jun Young, was ranked #4 on Netflix Indonesia. 

On Monday (September 28, 2026), it rose to #3. Four Hands, Two Sonatas tells the story of friendship, love, rivalry, and the growth of teenagers who meet at Korea Arts High School, a school filled with musically gifted students, including the main characters.

The first student is Kang Pio (Song Kang), an exceptionally talented pianist and perfectionist. He consistently ranks first in his academics. He also possesses natural talent and a strong inner drive to pursue a career as a pianist.

Initially, Kang Pio had no competition at all. Therefore, all the students were confident that he would sweep the world's best piano competition. That was until another student named Choi Jeongyo (Lee Jun Young) appeared.

Like Kang Pio, Choi Jeongyo is also a genius pianist who, due to poverty, chooses to neglect her talent. She has long admired Kang Pio. Their meeting creates unexpected friction and conflict that will be the main focus of this drama.
