Honor is set to launch Honor Play 5 in China on May 18 according to the company’s launch invite. Specifications of the smartphone have been leaked previously.
The Honor Play 5 handset is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC processor inside. Additionally, it’s going to come with a 66W fast charging support.
Honor has just confirmed that the next Play series smartphone is coming to the Chinese market on May 18. According to the launch teaser, the smartphone will get a waterdrop-style notch on the front.
On the rear, it has a square-shaped quad-camera setup. The phone will have a display with slim bezels around it. Other than this, there’s nothing more to mention. All other details about the phone will be clearer at the May 18 launch event in China.
Going by the earlier leaks, Honor Play 5 will sport a 6.53-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. We do not have any word yet on display refresh rate support.
The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. The smartphones will pack a 6,000mAh battery with a support for 66W fast charging.
The Honor Play 5 will flaunt a quad rear camera system with a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and two 2MP sensors. It is rumored to weigh 179 grams and measure only 7.46mm.
