Tecno has unveiled a new smartphone in the Nigerian market, dubbed as Tecno Camon 17 Pro. The new mid-range device comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display, MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, 5000mAh battery and a 64MP primary main camera.
Tecno Camon 17 Pro features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a center punch-hole cutout at the front. This display offers 1080 × 2460 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, 82% screen-to-body ratio, and a pixel density of 395 PPI.
The notch cutout on the front serves as a nest for the 48MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, the smartphone packs a quad-camera setup. The device has a 64MP primary main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and two 2MP sensors.
Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. It’s paired with a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of native storage. You can easily expand it via the microSD card slot if that amount is not enough.
Tecno Camon 17 Pro draws power from a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The smartphone ships with Android 11 operating system OS-based HiOS custom skin.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include side-mounted fingerprint, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The handset measures 168.89×76.9×8.95mm.
Tecno Camon 17 Pro is available in a single storage configuration – 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. Coming to the price, the sole variant in the Nigerian market will set you back NGN125,000 (approx. Rs 22,597). There’s no information surrounding the pricing of the 128GB version.
