Samsung is all set to launch its latest mid-range smartphone, called the Galaxy M42 5G in India on April 28. The device has been listed on Amazon India and will be available as an Amazon exclusive.
The landing page on Amazon has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 750G chipset and will be the first mid-range device with 5G support from the company to launch in India.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to be an improved version of the Galaxy A42 smartphone that was launched last year. The device images on the Amazon India page feature a device that looks like the Galaxy A42 5G.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to feature an improved camera setup and a bigger battery when compared to the Galaxy A42 5G. It is expected to feature a quad camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary camera and a 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is expected to run on Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will come with Knox Security, Samsung Pay and support AltZLife which allows users to quickly change between normal mode and private mode using the power button.
As for the pricing, tge Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to be priced between ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. We expect this to be closer to ₹20,000 as the device will be placed below the Galaxy M51.
The smartphone will be available from Amazon India, Samsung online store and retail stores across the country. It is expected to be available in Black, White and Gray colour options.
