Tecno Camon 17 has been revealed in Kenya as the new budget offering. The handset comes with a 90Hz punch-hole display, MediaTek octa-core chipset, 48MP triple rear camera, a big battery, and more.
Tecno Camon 17 comes with a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution, 267 PPI, 90Hz refresh rate, 90% screen-to-body ratio, and 450 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset coupled with Arm Mali G52 GPU. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, the Tecno Camon 17 boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a QVGA sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner.
The smartphone is running on Android 11 operating system with HiOS 7.6 on top. The Tecno Camon 17 is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging.
For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GNSS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of sensors, the phone sports an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In terms of pricing, the TECNO CAMON 17 comes in two configurations namely 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB starting at Ksh 18,899 in Kenya. The phone is expected to launch in other markets soon.
