OPPO has launched a new A-series smartphone in China, called as the OPPO A36. The device is an affordable offering from OPPO that comes with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display. The display panel has an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s octa-core processor and packs up to 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage.

The screen also includes a water-drop-shaped cutout that accommodates the selfie camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 processor.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the OPPO A36 sports a dual-camera setup. The camera module includes a 13MP main camera and a 2MP portrait lens. On the front side, the handset boasts an 8MP selfie camera which has an f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, the smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
The OPPO A36 ships with 8GB of RAM and packs 256GB of internal storage. The handset also has a microSD card support, which allows extra storage expansion up to 1TB. On the software front, the smartphone boots Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11.1 on top. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 8.4mm in terms of thickness and weighs 185 grams.
As for official pricing and availability, the OPPO A36 is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly ₹18,600). The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be available for purchase in black and blue colour options. As of now, OPPO has not shared any details regarding the global availability of the OPPO A36.
