The 13-member group SEVENTEEN has officially renewed its contract with their agency, PLEDIS Entertainment. This good news was conveyed by one of the members after they completed the final concert of their latest tour, NEW_ENCORE.
The concert, held at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium over two days, April 4th and 5th, was confirmed by the group's leader, S.Coups, to fans. "Thinking about how there haven't been any group concerts for a while makes me look back on the past 11 years.
As you know, SEVENTEEN achieved something important," said S.Coups, as reported by Chosun Korea . “We felt it was right to share this with you guys before CARAT LAND so I speak on behalf of the group members,” he said.
S.Coups continued, "After discussing it with all of us, the 13 members have decided to renew our contracts. We will be on the same boat and continue sailing together with all our strength. Thank you," S.Coups continued.
This announcement comes despite several members, including Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi, currently serving in the military. PLEDIS has yet to release an official statement regarding this contract renewal.
SEVENTEEN consists of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino, and continues their latest contract since their debut in May 2015. They performed in 14 countries for their NEW_ tour , drawing 900,000 visitors.
After the tour, several members will focus on sub-unit activities, including DK and Seungkwan, S.Coups and Mingyu, and others. SEVENTEEN will hold another fan meeting titled CARAT LAND on June 20 and 21, 2026.
