Chinese tech company, Realme has launched the Realme 9i handset in the Indian market. The smartphone had earlier made its global debut just last week in Vietnam. The handset comes with a Full HD display and offers a 50MP triple rear camera setup. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and a 5,000mAh battery unit.
The Realme 9i comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2,412 × 1,080 pixel) resolution, 401ppi pixel density, and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel supports 480nits peak brightness and is capable of refreshing 90 times a second. The display houses the front selfies shooter inside a punch-hole notch which resides on the top-left corner of the panel. In terms of dimensions, it measures 164.4 × 75.7 × 8.4mm and weighs 190grams.
Powering the Realme 9i is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor which brings an integrated Adreno 610 GPU along with it. The Snapdragon 680 is built on a 6nm fabrication process. The handset comes in up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage configuration. In terms of OS software, it boots Android 11 with the company’s proprietary Realme UI 2.0 skin on top.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 9i is equipped with a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. There is a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture on the device. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP B&W lens. The smartphone offers a 16MP front shooter with an f/2.1 aperture for selfies and video calls. The device gets a 5,000mAh battery unit with 33W fast charging support.
There is also a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a stereo speaker setup on the device. It also offers up to 5GB dynamic RAM expansion feature. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers Dual-SIM, 4G, VoLTE, Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. The device will be available in two colour variants—Prism Black and Prism Blue.
The Realme 9i will be available in two storage-memory configurations—4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The 4GB + 64GB variant of the handset is priced at ₹13,999. Whereas, the Realme 9i 6GB + 128GB variant will cost ₹15,999. It will be available for purchase starting January 25 exclusively via Flipkart, Realme India Online Store, and major offline stores. For those who can’t wait, the company has also announced an early sale which is scheduled for January 22.
