Realme has launched the Realme 9i smartphone at an event in Vietnam. The Realme 9i is the first handset to launch under the Realme 9 series. The Realme 9i comes with a 6.5-inch display and a 50MP camera setup. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and a 5,000mAh battery unit.
The Realme 9i flaunts a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2,412 × 1,080 pixel) resolution, and 401ppi pixel density. The smartphone has a 90Hz refresh rate panel that can go as high as 480nits in terms of brightness. The display also has a punch-hole notch on the top left corner which helps it achieve about 90.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the Realme 9i is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor that is built on a 6nm fabrication process. It comes coupled with Adreno 610 GPU, up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The company has also equipped the handset with up to 5GB of virtual RAM. The smartphone comes preloaded with the company’s proprietary Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11 OS out of the box.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 9i packs a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary sensor on the handset is a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP B&W lens on the smartphone. For selfies and video calls, the Realme 9i gets a 16MP shooter with an f/2.1 aperture.
The Realme 9i is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 33W fast charging support. It also has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, a stereo speaker setup, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 4G, 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. The device measures 164.4 × 75.7 × 8.4mm and weighs 190grams.
The Realme 9i is on sale now for VND 6,490,000 ($290/INR 21,200) in two colors - Blue and Black, and in a single 6/128GB configuration. You can expand the 128GB of memory through a microSD card and add an additional 5GB to the RAM by deducting it from the built-in storage. It is available in two colour variants—blue and black.
