Chinese tech giant, OPPO launched its flagship Find X5 series with Qualcomm processors on Febuary 24. Now, the company has unveiled a MediaTek Dimensity 9000-powered Find X5 Pro in China. It is priced at CNY 5,799 (around Rs. 69,000) for the 12GB/256GB model. Notably, the Dimensity version of the X5 Pro is the first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek's new flagship processor that was announced last year 2021.

Many were left disappointed when OPPO didn't announce a Dimensity 9000-powered device during the recent Find X5 launch event. It now seems like it was a deliberate strategy from the company. The X5 Pro Dimensity Edition has specifications similar to the Snapdragon version. However, it lacks the in-house MariSilicon X NPU, 5-axis OIS, and Hasselblad's color calibration, which in turn reduces the camera quality.

The OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition features a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, 1,300-nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone bears a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, curved edges, an IP68-rated build quality, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, the OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition flaunts a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP (f/1.7) main shooter, a 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 5x hybrid zoom, and a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor. Up front, it offers a 32MP (f/2.4) snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging support.

The OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. On the front software, it runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and a Type-C port.

For official pricing and availability, the OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition is priced at CNY 5,799 (roughly Rs. 69,000) for the sole 12GB/256GB model. The smartphone is offered in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White color options. It will go on pre-sale in China on March 14. The device will be up for grabs there starting March 18.
