Chinese tech company, POCO is preparing to launch the POCO M4 Pro 5G in India on February 15, following its global launch at the end of last year 29021 The company took to its social media channels to announce the India launch. The POCO M4 Pro is said to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11 5G, which is the Chinese variant of the smartphone.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G sports a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz sampling rate. It comes with the DynamicSwitch feature that adjusts the refresh rate between 30Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz, varying with the content being displayed on the screen. The front selfie shooter is housed inside a punch-hole-shaped cutout.
When it comes to the camera, the POCO M4 Pro 5G features a dual-camera setup along with an LED flash at the rear. It has a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The primary shooter on the M4 Pro 5G is a 50MP sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. It ditches macro and depth sensors to make room for the ultrawide-angle camera. On the front software, the device comes with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process. The graphics processing is handled by the integrated Mali-G57 GPU. Besides, the smartphone comes with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device also has the option to expand the storage by a terabyte, via the microSD card slot.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G has a 5,000mAh battery under the hood with 33W fast-charging support. It comes with a USB Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and stereo speakers. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 163.56 x 75.78 x 8.75mm and weighs 195g.
For pricing and availability, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was launched for €229 (around ₹19,600). The smartphone could retail in India for much lesser, from a starting price ranging between ₹16,999 and ₹17,999. It may be available in two storage configurations in India–6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. It also showed off the device in three variants–Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.
