Tecno Pova 5G was announced in India as the first 5G powered smartphone in India from the Hong Kong-based mobile company. Although, the device was already revealed in Nigeria in December last year 2021. The handset comes with a fast refresh rate display, large battery, MediaTek octa-core 5G chipset, triple rear camera, and more.
Tecno Pova 5G features a 6.9 inches with ( 1080 x 2460 ) pixels resolution, 120Hz fast refresh rate, 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the handset is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with ARM Mali-G68 MP4 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 3GB extended RAM support and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device is running on HiOS 8.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Tecno Pova 5G sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and an AI lens. The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel selfie sensor under the punch-hole at the top center. The camera app features 4K Time-lapse, 960FPS Slow Motion, Video Stabilization, Video Bokeh, and Video Beauty. The handset is equipped with a 6000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging.
For connectivity options, the Tecno Pova 5G includes 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB TYPE-C port. Sensors onboard, the smartphone sports an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the Tecno Pova 5G Visha Player, Video Editor, App Turbo 2.0, Smart Cards, Vault 2.0, Smart Panel 2.0, Kids Mode, photo compressor, Game Space 2.0, Z-axis linear vibration motor, Ultra battery saver, Anti-theft mode, and more.
As for official pricing and availability, the Tecno Pova 5G is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the sole configuration of 8GB + 128GB. The smartphone comes in a solo Aether Black color option. The first 1500 customers are able to grab a free power bank worth Rs. 1,999. The handset will go for sale via e-commerce platform website Amazon from 14 February.
