Vivo has expanded its portfolio of affordable 5G smartphones in India with the introduction of the T1 5G model. The handset carries a starting price-tag of Rs. 15,990 and will be up for grabs from February 14. It features a 120Hz display, a 50MP primary camera, a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, a 5-layer cooling system and 4GB of extended RAM, among other highlights.

The Vivo T1 5G boasts several "Turbo" features to attract customers. According to the company, it is the slimmest 5G smartphone in the segment measuring at 8.25mm and also the fastest handset to date in the category with an AnTuTu score of over 4,00,000. The device also gets built-in cooling and a 240Hz touch sampling rate to take on rivals from Xiaomi and Samsung.

The Vivo T1 5G bears a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone sports a waterdrop notch design with rounded corners, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The rear panel is fitted with a triple camera module.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo T1 5G flaunts a triple rear camera module comprising a 50MP (f/1.8) primary camera, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro snapper, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device has a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing lens. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.

Under the hood, the Vivo T1 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. At the heart, the handset boots Android 12-based FunTouch OS 12 out of the box. For connectivity, the handset offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a Type-C port, 5G, and GPS.

For pricing and availability, the Vivo T1 5G costs Rs. 15,990 for the 4GB/128GB model, Rs. 16,990 for the 6GB/128GB model, and Rs. 19,990 for the top-tier 8GB/128GB variant. It comes in Rainbow Fantasy and Starlight Black color options. The handset will go on sale from February 14 via e-commerce platform website Flipkart, the company's website, and offline stores.
