The Honor X8 is the Chinese company’s latest mid-tier device. It has introduced the handset in the UAE market, adding it to the lineup of X-series smartphones. As for the key highlight, the Honor X8 packs in a large LCD display, a sleek design, octa-core Snapdragon chipset, quad cameras, and SuperCharge charging, among other features.
The Honor X8 flaunts a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2.5D curved glass. The bezels surrounding the screen are minimal as it comes with a 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. The handset features a premium-looking design and is very slim with a thickness of just 7.45mm. The rear camera array is iPhone-esque, but with four sensors. The sides are also flat like the latest iPhones.
Under the hood, the Honor X8 is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset based on the 6nm fabrication process. It is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The Turbo RAM expansion feature offers 2GB of extra RAM but utilizes some storage space. At the heart, the handset runs on Android 11 with Magic UI 4.2 skin on top of it.
In the camera department, the Honor X8 comes with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The ancillary cameras include a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture housed in the centrally aligned hole punch cut-out on the display.
The Honor X8 is powered by a 4000mAh battery under its hood, coupled with 22.5-watt Honor SuperCharge fast charging tech. The company claims three hours of video playback with just 10 minutes of charging. Some noteworthy features include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
For pricing and availability, the HONOR X8 comes with a price tag of 949 Riyals (approx. ₹19,500) in the UAE. The smartphone comes in Titanium Silver, Midnight Black and Ocean Blue colourways.
