Realme has launched its entry-level budget device, called the C31, in India. It is the latest addition to the company's portfolio of affordable smartphones. The first sale of the smartphone will start on April 6 from 12pm onward via Realme's e-store and Flipkart. As for the key highlights, the device features a large HD+ screen, a 13MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Realme C31 arrives as a successor to the C30 model. The handset was first announced in Indonesia earlier this month. It aims to attract buyers with features such as a large screen, a long-battery life, and TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification, which tests the device on 23 parameters, including drop, wear and tear, extreme temperature, extreme humidity and voltage fluctuation, among other parameters.
The Realme C31 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone has a waterdrop notch design, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It has a triple rear camera setup, paired with an LED flash. It is offered in shades of Light Silver and Dark Green.
In terms of optics, the Realme C31 sports a triple rear camera system that comprises a 13MP (f/2.2) primary camera, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.8) B&W lens. It also has a 5MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080 videos at 30fps, while the front camera can shoot 720p videos at 30fps. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via the Type-C port.
Under the hood, the Realme C31 is fueled by an octa-core UNISOC T612 processor and boots Android 11 with Realme UI R Edition baked on top. It comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations, with up to 1TB of expandable storage via a dedicated micro-SD card. Connectivity options include dual-SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
For pricing and availability, the Realme C31 carries a price-tag of Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB/32GB configuration and Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. It is available in two color options namely, Light Silver and Dark Green. The smartphone will be available for purchase from April 6, 12pm onwards via Flipkart and Realme's e-store. Users can get up to Rs. 1,000 cashback on Paytm.
