K-pop group CIX will disband after seven years of activity. Their agency, C9 Entertainment, also explained the contract status of each member. Yonghee, one of the group's members, will enlist as an active duty soldier starting May 11, 2026.
His exclusive contract will expire sometime before he completes his mandatory military service. The four members of the group CIX also chose to leave C9 Entertainment but they have contract statuses with different dates.
“CIX, who spent seven years with fans in various activities after debuting on July 21, 2019, will be ending their group activities,” said C9 Entertainment.
“Although we have had in-depth discussions with the members over the months regarding the group’s activities, everyone agrees that at this point, ending the group’s activities is inevitable,” agency continued.
BX and Seunghun's exclusive contracts will expire on April 30, unlike Yonghee's, whose contracts expire on May 11, 2026. The agency confirmed that there will be no farewell event for Yonghee, but there will be a small event held before he leaves.
“Yonghee applied for military service and after undergoing basic training at the center on May 11, 2026, he will fulfill his military duties as an active duty soldier,” the agency said. “We are supporting Hyunsuk who is currently filming and his exclusive contract will expire on May 31, 2026,” said C9 Entertainment.
CIX is a K-pop group that debuted in 2019 with five members, including Bae Jinyoung. In 2024, Jinyoung decided to leave the group after his exclusive contract expired. CIX released several albums and toured Japan and Europe, ending in November 2025.
