Recently, it was rumored that the main character of the hit drama 'Squid Game' Lee Jung Jae was discussing with Marvel Studios. It is not yet clear what the South Korean actor is discussing with the film studio, the news which is still a rumor quickly circulated widely and grew wildly.

Launching koreaboo , the rumor originally came from a tweet from Twitter @MarvelCrave, the account that broadcasts the latest news about the MCU . On July 20, the account reported that the 'Squid Game' actor was in talks with Marvel Studios. After seeing the news, many fans believed the rumors.

Some have even predicted that the actor will play the main villain in Shang-Chi 2, while others suspect he will play Dr. Negative in the upcoming Spiderman film. The fans' trust stems from the many projects from Marvel featuring Korean actors , namely Ma Dong Seok who played in the film 'Eternals' and Claudia Kim who played Doctor Cho in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'.

This belief is also further strengthened by the news about 'Itaewon Class' actor Park Seo Joon who will play in the second film 'Captain Marvel'. But unfortunately, Lee Jung Jae directly denied the rumors that he would join the MCU. On Friday August 8, 2022, 'SBS Entertainment News' broadcast their interview with the actor during the premiere of his newly released film 'Hunt'.

During the interview, the news outlet asked Lee Jung Jae about the truth of the rumors.  Lee Jung Jae also denied the rumors and stated that he had never received an offer from Marvel Studios. "The news is false. An overseas influencer wrote the rumor on his social media, maybe for fun, and the rumor was reported as fact.

However, I have never received an offer from Marvel," said Lee Jung Jae. Meanwhile, Lee Jung Jae's latest film, 'Hunt', is a film that he directed and acted himself. This film tells the story of two elite South Korean national agents who discover a shocking reality while doing their job.
