Citing allkpop reports, recently, actor Lee Jung Jae guested on the JTBC news program 'Newsroom' to discuss his directorial debut through the film 'Hunt'.  During the event, Lee Jung Jae discussed his activities on the set of 'Hunt' with his good friend Jung Woo Sung, and also shared his thoughts after being nominated for the 'Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series' at the 'Emmy Awards 2022.'

In addition, Lee Jung Jae also received questions about the development of the series ' Squid Game 2 '. He also replied that the script for ' Squid Game 2' was still in the works. He said, "Director Hwang Dong Hyuk is still working on the script for 'Squid Game' season 2, while receiving treatment for his teeth. He recently finished the larger season 2 frame and has developed the details for most of the main characters.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung Jae's latest film 'Hunt' which he starred with Jung Woo Sung, and his co-actor in the 'Squid Game' series Heo Sung Tae has reached 3.5 million viewers after 17 days of broadcast. 'Hunt' is a reunion project between Lee Jung Jae and Heo Sung Tae after the huge success of the Netflix series they co-starred in, 'Squid Game.' 

Meanwhile, this is Jung Woo Sung's first film in 24 years since his last film released in 1998, 'City of the Rising Sun.' The film, directed by Lee Jung Jae, tells the story of two elite National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents Park Pyung Ho and Kim Jung Do, who are assigned to carry out a secret mission involving the pursuit of North Korean spies.

Prior to its official release in theaters, the film was included in the Midnight Screening of the 75th Cannes International Film Festival and received an incredible 7-minute standing ovation. The release of 'Hunt' will also take place in 144 countries, including Japan, Germany, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and many more.

Following the success of the previous Lee Jung Jae-starring series, this espionage action film has also continued to dominate the Korean box office for two weeks in a row. It did not stop there, the film was also invited to three international festivals, including the 47th Toronto International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest 2022, and the 55th Sitges Film Festival.
