The Golden Spoon is a South Korean drama-thriller TV series directed by Song Hyun-wook and starring Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-won, Jung Chae-yeon, Yeon Woo and Choi Dae-chul, with members other cast. The series takes over the Friday-Saturday 10 p.m. KST time slot, previously occupied by Big Mouth. 

The series is based on the webcomic Geumsujeo by gp04fb on Naver.  Lee Seung-cheon is a poor student whose family can't afford to pay much. Tired of not being able to enjoy life's pleasures, Seung-cheon meets a mysterious old woman who gives him a mysterious golden spoon. He could use a spoon to exchange lives with others, but he only got three chances to make up his mind. 

So, will Seung-cheon choose his own family or give it his all for the sake of a rich and luxurious life? The Disney+ synopsis of the show reads: “A child from a poor family gets a “golden spoon” that can exchange him for his rich friend and give him the life he has always dreamed of.” The series' cast includes Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-won, Jung Chae-yeon, Yeon Woo, Choi Dae-chul, Han Chae-ah and Seung You, along with other cast members. 

The series will air on MBC and Disney+ in select regions. The series will air from September 23 to November 12, 2022, at 10 p.m. KST on MBC. The Golden Spoon episode 2 will release on September 24 at 8 p.m. IST on Disney+. Seung-cheon finally makes it to his new life while Tae-yong gets the family he longs for. 

As the two slowly enter their new lives, they come face to face and Seung-cheon can't control his anger after the betrayal he got from Tae-yong. The Golden Spoon episode 1 begins the story by giving us the background of poor student Lee Seung-cheon and the golden spoon among Hwang Tae-yong's golden spoons. 

Both crave what the other has when facing their own problems. One day Seung-cheon is given the opportunity to change his life by swapping lives with Tae-yong. Even though he couldn't believe this magic, he still tried it, especially in his most desperate moments. Now, what will the future hold for the two boys?
