Fan projects have become a tradition at every K-Pop concert. A meaningful offering prepared by fandom representatives for their idols. Almost in all concerts there is this fan project and the moment it happens is often a moving thing. Unfortunately ELF couldn't do this at the Super Junior concert - Super Show 9: Road in Jakarta. This is Super Junior's first concert in Indonesia after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fan project from ELF, which was initiated by ELFIndonesia.com, was not approved by the concert promoter and artist management. This was explained by a representative from ELFIndonesia.com in an interview with detikcom recently. They explained the process of bidding for the fan project to the promoter.

"Since Super Show 7s, Super Show 8, whether it's a hand banner project or other projects such as flashlights, we have to propose. After the concert announcement, we usually send a proposal containing our requests. We also explain what projects we have done Previously, photos of Super Junior members with our previous projects," said a representative from ELFIndonesia.com.

"We sent a proposal on August 10, 2022 via email, if I'm not mistaken, ticketing is open August 12-13, so we send it before ticketing. In the past, the previous Super Junior concert was with the same promoter, so indeed we have experience and this preparation will definitely be answered. It's been a long time from us. Before the project was approved by the promoter, we didn't make an announcement to other fans," they continued.

"This fan project is related to donations from fans as well. We need money for printing and usually we look for ELFs who want to participate. Because the email was not answered, many fans asked about the project for this concert. Then we sent another email for the third time on September 5, 2022.  Two days later they replied saying that they did not receive our previous two emails.

But the third email was received and will be discussed with Super Junior's management and will be updated later, "he explained again. The next process, according to the fanbase experience, the promoter will discuss with management about being accepted or rejected. Or for example there are words that need to be revised or designs that must be improved.

Unfortunately for the Super Show 9: Road in Jakarta concert, the process did not continue. The promoter announced that they would take over the fan project for the Super Junior concert - Super Show 9: Road in Jakarta. This was explained by the promoter in the email received by detikcom. In his statement, the promoter explained the reasons for the takeover of the fan project.

There are two points they mention in between: ticket sales and unofficial activities. This of course leaves disappointment on the part of the fans. However, they still provide support to the fan project carried out by the concert organizer. "For that, we apologize, ELF, hopefully the project handled by the organizers will run smoothly," said ELFIndonesia.com in a statement uploaded to Twitter.
