Baekho, a former member of NU'EST, has officially parted ways with PLEDIS Entertainment after 13 years with the agency. This news was announced on March 6, 2025 by PLEDIS Entertainment, stating that Baekho's exclusive contract will end on March 14, 2025.
As a form of appreciation to fans, Baekho will release his last digital single under PLEDIS on the same day. Reporting from Soompi on Friday March 7, 2025, in its official statement, PLEDIS Entertainment expressed its gratitude to Baekho for his dedication over the years.
Since debuting as a member of NU'EST in 2012, Baekho has built a stellar career as a singer, songwriter, and has appeared in various other fields such as musicals and variety shows. With his incredible talent and passion, Baekho has left a deep mark on the South Korean entertainment world.
The decision to part ways with PLEDIS Entertainment was made after long and in-depth discussions between both parties. Despite having renewed his contract several times before, Baekho has now chosen to continue his career on a new path.
The agency also hopes that Baekho's future will be even brighter and asks fans, known as dOnO, to continue supporting him. Baekho first came to public attention as the main vocalist of NU'EST, the first boy group formed by PLEDIS Entertainment. With NU'EST, he released popular songs such as 'Hello,' 'Queen's Knight,' and 'Love Paint.'
After participating in the survival show Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, Baekho was also active in the subunit NU'EST W before NU'EST officially disbanded in 2022, as reported by Koreaboo on Friday. After NU'EST disbanded, Baekho continued his career as a soloist and released various songs such as 'No Rules,' 'Elevator,' 'Love Or Die,' and 'Nutty Nutty.'
