This world tour was held to celebrate BLACKPINK's comeback after two years of hiatus. They last released a full album titled THE ALBUM in October 2020. Not unlike the release of their previous album, BLACKPINK won various achievements through the album BORN PINK. They even became the first K-Pop girl group to dominate the Billboard 200 chart.

They also became the world's first girl group to occupy the first position since 2008. At that time, the same position was occupied by Danity Kane through Welcome to the Dollhouse. Based on data from Luminate, BORN PINK scored 102 thousand album-equivalent sales for the week to 22 September 2022.

The total score for the album consists of physical album sales of 75 thousand and 25 thousand streams. This record also beat BLACKPINK 's own record on the Billboard 200 chart. Previously, THE ALBUM, their debut album released in 2020, managed to occupy the second position on the Billboard 200. So, are you ready for a ticket war yet, BLINK?
