LE SSERAFIM's Sakura who just made a comeback with Mini Album 3rd “ANTIFRAGILE” appeared on a talk show Naver Now on October 19, 2022. In the event Sakura appeared as the 20th guest star and talked about various things. One of them was the hate comments he received over the course of his career and overcame them by working harder.
In the "question book" session, the 1998-born idol told of his career journey which has debuted three times as a member of the Japanese girl groups HTK48, IZ*ONE, and LE SSERAFIM. Because of that, he earned hatred as a result. While at HKT48, Sakura tried the challenge to join an audition program held by Mnet entitled "Produce 48".
In response to that Sakura said, "I was afraid of challenges, but I came to Korea because I thought there would be something I could gain from the challenge." Sakura who is not good at dancing gets hate comments from netizens. Because of that hateful comment, it caused Sakura a lot of trouble.
To overcome this, Sakura said with more intense practice. “I have no natural talent, I just have the talent to work hard. In the past, I had a very hard time seeing hate comments. However, now I don't care unless I really did something wrong. People only see what they want to see, so I was like 'What do you want me to do?'.
In addition, Sakura revealed that she practiced 12 to 14 hours a day when she was a trainee. “It was hard for me to be Miyawaki Sakura back then. It's a heavy name, and I feel different from people who debuted as foreigners. It was difficult because I had to show a different side of me.”
Sakura added, “But I think good results come with pressure. I gained a lot from my trainee life. So after debuting, I have a lot to show. And when I debuted I thought that this would be the last group in my life.” Meanwhile, Sakura and her group LE SSERAFIM have just released their latest album "ANTIFRAGILE" on October 17th.
