A number of YG Entertainment artists decided to move so as not to renew their contracts with management in December 2022. Starting with Taeyang, who moved to The Black Label, Daesung decided not to renew his contract with YG Entertainment, before being followed by iKON.

Now, news is circulating that BLACKPINK will also move from YG Entertainment to The Black Label, which is a subsidiary of YG. Quoted from the Kpop Herald, discussions regarding the transfer of Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo to The Black Label have been going on since the beginning of the year.

Regarding this news, YG Entertainment opened its voice. They emphasized that until now the contract with BLACKPINK is still running, so they cannot provide any comments. "I'm not in a position to confirm this news, but YG Entertainment's contract with BLACKPINK members still remains," said a source from YG Entertainment.

"It is difficult to confirm whether they will sign a contract with The Black Label after the contract with YG Entertainment is completed or not," he concluded. BLACKPINK debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016. During their six-year career, they have only released 2 full albums. BLACKPINK is releasing their first full album in 2021 titled The Album. The album received a good response in South Korea and globally. In 2022, BLACKPINK released their second full album titled Born Pink. 

Along with the release, they also announced a world tour. Indonesia is one of the countries visited. Even though there was a conflict regarding the venue, iMe Indonesia as the promoter emphasized that the concert which is planned to be held on March 11 and 12 2023 will still be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK).
