One more sad news from the South Korean entertainment industry. Comedian Seo Se Won has passed away. The comedian who is now more active as a priest died at the age of 67 on Thursday April 20, 2023 in Cambodia. He died of heart failure.
Quoted from The Korea Herald, the senior comedian was announced dead at 3 pm local time after experiencing heart failure two hours earlier. Seo Se Won was rushed to the hospital and treated before he breathed his last. Seo Se Won was in Cambodia on business.
However, in the middle of the activity, he felt sick and was immediately taken to the local Korean hospital. Seo Se Won's career began when he hosted the radio show TBC in 1979. He became popular after hosting a famous talk show in South Korea in 1990.
Throughout his career, Seo Se Won received many awards. Including an award from the Ministry of Culture for his dedication in the entertainment industry. This award was conferred on him in 1997. In 2001, Seo Se Won tried his luck to make a career in the film industry.
He was the producer behind the popular comedy film My Wife Is a Gangster. Unfortunately a few years later he was attacked by a corruption scandal. After that he decided to leave the world of entertainment before finally choosing to focus on religious activities.
