KBS weekly music event ' Music Bank ' returned to broadcast the latest episode on Friday April 28, 2023. A number of debut and comeback performances from K-Pop idol artists also enlivened this episode. Meanwhile, for the first place nomination, two songs were won, namely, 'I AM' from IVE, against the song ' Perfume ' from NCT DoJaeJung.
Quoting from Soompi, NCT DoJaeJung's song 'Perfume' came out as the first winner by winning 8,530 points. While IVE was in second place with the song 'I AM' which won 6,600 points. This is NCT DoJaeJung's first win for the song 'Perfume', as well as their group's first win since debuting on April 17, 2023.
Celebrating this first victory, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo especially expressed their gratitude to the fans who gave this victory. They didn't expect to win their first music show trophy so soon after debuting with a new unit. “From the start I worked hard thinking that fans would love this album. However, it feels good to receive an award like this.
I hope our Sijeunie can spend the rest of their days well, while celebrating our victory together. Thank you," said Jaehyun to the fans. Jungwoo added, “Since we debuted with a new unit, we won our first trophy on 'Music Bank'. I remember the first time we prepared for our debut, I thought we would receive good results as much as we work hard.”
"I feel proud and above all, we won this award because the fans were there. I will do the best. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart. Don't forget to eat a lot and delicious today. Have a good rest," he continued. Not to forget, Doyoung also thanked all the SM Entertainment staff involved and of course their fans.
Meanwhile the 'Music Bank' stage performance this week was also enlivened by the appearance of CRAXY, DRIPPIN, EPEX, IVE, NCT DOJAEJUNG, TEMPEST, WOODZ, XODIAC, Xdinary Heroes, xikers, BLITZERS, SEVENTEEN, ALICE, Lee Gikwang, Lee Chae Yeon, Jueun, and Kep1er.
