Red Velvet's Joy will stop doing activities for a while. The news was officially announced by SM Entertainment. In a statement released recently, SM Entertainment revealed Joy's deteriorating health condition. She will also take a temporary break from all activities and focus on recovery.
"We want to inform the health condition of the Red Velvet member, Joy, and their participation in group activities in the future," SM Entertainment opened. "Joy recently went to the hospital due to deteriorating health conditions.
After consulting and conducting examinations, the medical staff advised Joy to be treated and rest," he continued. SM Entertainment also apologized to fans because of this. They asked ReVeluv to understand Joy's situation because the idol had to undergo treatment. "Joy plans to take a break from scheduled activities for a while.
She will focus on recovering his health," explained SM Entertainment. "We want to apologize to the fans for worrying. We also ask for the understanding of the fans because this decision was taken for Joy's health. We will work hard to help Joy recover so that she can meet fans again soon," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet is scheduled to hold a world tour. Indonesia is one of the countries to be visited. Jakarta is the 6th city visited by Red Velvet after Seoul, Singapore, Yokohama, Manila and Bangkok. The concert will be held on May 20 2023 at ICE BSD.
