The girl group LE SSERAFIM just celebrated their one year debut on May 2, 2023. One of the members, Sakura, recently sat down with Weverse magazine and shared many things, starting from a career journey in the entertainment world, to the high expectations expected of a K-Pop idol.
Quoting from Koreaboo on Tuesday May 9, 2023, Sakura has more than ten years experience in the entertainment world since she joined Japanese girl groups HKT48 and JKT48, then debuted as a member of IZ*ONE, and finally with LE SSERAFIM. According to him, what is expected or what is expected of an idol is to always smile.
During this time, Sakura realized that fans value knowing what she thinks behind the smile she displays. However, as an idol, that shouldn't be a hindrance in his career. "I think the stage is a place where an idol can express all his feelings. I also get comfort by telling what I feel to the fans," said Sakura.
"However, I think we shouldn't stop smiling and talk about how hard it is to be an idol. We shouldn't let personal feelings interfere with our work in front of the camera," added the Japanese idol. Sakura added that every job also has the same heavy expectations as being an idol.
She agreed that always thinking positively is important as an idol. "There are times when you have to always smile no matter what, this applies to all types of work. I think it's very important to smile in this job of mine, and being on stage is the time when we show our emotions," explained Sakura.
Meanwhile, Sakura and LE SSERAFIM have just successfully released their first full album titled 'UNFORGIVEN' on May 1, 2023. Still carrying the same concept as their two previous albums namely 'FEARLESS' and 'ANTIFRAGILE', 'UNFORGIVEN' discusses having no regrets in facing fear and to take challenges in life.
