MAMAMOO's Hwasa was recently criticized by netizens because of her appearance which was considered too provocative while performing at a campus in South Korea. But Hwasa doesn't seem to care about left-right talk because she is teasing fans again with his stage action in Nashville.
Not long ago, MAMAMOO held a concert in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, as part of their American tour series. In one of the performances, Hwasa did something unexpected which made fans excited at the concert venue. The furor then turned to Twitter. In the video circulating on Elon Musk's social media, Hwasa appears on stage in high-waist denim pants, a black top, and a cowboy hat.
In the middle of the appearance, Hwasa suddenly lifted the top she was wearing which then exposed a brown bra. While there were some netizens who felt Hwasa's actions were excessive, the singer Maria was still flooded with support and love from fans. They were happy to see Hwasa being ignorant of the criticism that netizens gave him because of stage performances that were often considered provocative.
"Nashville is very lucky because she probably wouldn't do this in Korea. In America, doing something like this is very brave and accepted!" wrote one netizen on Twitter. "It's really nice to see Hwasa doesn't care about many things. She is the standard that people should follow," wrote another netizen.
"Bomb as* Queen!" wrote another Twitter user. Contradictory comments came when Hwasa appeared at a campus festival in South Korea recently. The clothes he displayed were not too open and looked normal in a black T-shirt and denim hotpants. However, what divided netizens was the movement Hwasa made on stage.
In a GIF circulating on internet forums in South Korea, Hwasa can be seen dancing the choreography for the song Don't. He squatted down with his feet shoulder-width apart. It didn't stop there, Hwasa then licked a few fingers and then touched her intimate parts while standing up and continuing to dance to the music.
Some called Hwasa's appearance inappropriate because it was too westernized. Especially because it was displayed on the festival stage on campus. But there are also those who defend Hwasa by calling him a professional performer who wants to present the best and unforgettable stage.
